On 18 July 2017, TEXAL obtained FSC® Chain of Custody certification from TUV NORD for the purchase of viscose rayon and/or cellulose acetate (FSC Mix); Production and sale of fabrics composed entirely or partly of cellulose fibres – viscose rayon and/or acetate (FSC Mix) – Transfer system.
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an international non-profit NGO that has created an internationally recognised forestry and chain of custody certification system.
Chain of Custody certification guarantees that certified products of forest origin, including cellulose, the raw material for viscose, come from well-managed sources and are used in an environmentally, socially and ecologically responsible manner.
